Associate Professor of Nursing (Evidence and Implementation Science)

• Full-time, Ongoing position at Academic Level D.
• Campbelltown Campus with flexible working arrangements.
• Salary: $182,520 – $200,625 plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.

Lead implementation science that translates nursing evidence into sustained improvements in care, education and community health.

The Opportunity

You will provide leadership in education, research and capacity development in implementation science and evidence-based practice within the School of Nursing and Midwifery. You will strengthen the School’s ability to translate evidence into frontline nursing and midwifery practice, with a clear focus on the communities of Greater Western Sydney.

You will teach evidence-based practice and implementation science methods across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, develop new course offerings in this specialisation, and build capability in translation, de-implementation, scale-up and sustainment of nurse-led interventions. You will also supervise higher degree research candidates and mentor clinician-researchers developing combined clinical and research careers.

You will connect digital health and AI-enabled care models with practical implementation in resource-constrained settings. Working across Campbelltown Campus and the Lang Walker AO Medical Research Building, you will collaborate with the Translational Health Research Institute, the local health district and industry partners to strengthen research translation, clinical partnerships and measurable impact.

• A strong pipeline of HDR supervision, clinician-researcher mentorship and partner-engaged research.

About You

• A PhD in a related discipline and demonstrated expertise within the nursing profession and specifically in implementation science and evidence-based practice.
• Proven success in designing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate learning experiences using contemporary pedagogical approaches and educational technologies.
• A strong track record of research leadership, including leading projects, supervising postgraduate researchers and contributing to the advancement of nursing knowledge and implementation science and evidence-based practice.
• Highly developed interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to build productive relationships across academia, industry and professional networks.
• A passion for mentoring others and fostering a culture of excellence in teaching, research and engagement.
