  • Salary: $97,693 – $104,713 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading


Build quality Blackboard Ultra sites that support consistent, accessible and sustainable digital learning.

The Opportunity
You will support Western Sydney University’s transition to the Blackboard Ultra LMS environment by building and updating high-quality subject sites using approved learning designs, templates, digital tools and institutional quality standards.

You will work under guidance from Learning Experience staff and discipline teams to ensure LMS sites are accurate, accessible, well structured and aligned to University requirements. You will apply sound technical capability, attention to detail and a service focused approach to support consistent digital learning experiences across subjects and programs.

You will also provide practical, hands-on support to academic staff, helping them build confidence in maintaining, adapting and creating digital content, assessments and learning activities. You will contribute to progress tracking, quality assurance checks, staff training records and the coordination of assigned LMS uplift activities.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Blackboard Ultra sites are built and updated accurately using approved templates, standards and instructional specifications.
  • LMS sites are accessible, well structured and aligned to institutional requirements for digital quality and student experience.
  • Academic staff receive clear, practical support to build, edit and maintain Ultra content, assessments and learning activities.
  • First level Blackboard Ultra issues are resolved where possible and escalated appropriately when required.
  • Site build progress, training needs and quality assurance checks are tracked and reported accurately.

About You
You will bring practical experience in digital learning environments, strong attention to detail and the ability to support staff through clear, service focused guidance. You will also have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience in digital learning, educational technology, multimedia or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience using learning management systems and content authoring tools to build, structure and maintain digital learning content.
  • Ability to follow detailed learning design documentation, templates and quality standards with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting or training staff in digital platforms, with the ability to explain technical tasks in clear, accessible language.
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and service focused approach.
