Research and HDR Administration Officer

• Full-time position at HEW Level 6.
• Based at Parramatta City Campus with flexible working arrangements
• Salary: $97,693 - $104,713 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.

The Opportunity

The Research and HDR Administration Officer provides high-level administrative support to Faculty research and Higher Degree by Research activities. The role supports academics, HDR candidates, and senior leaders to ensure research and candidature processes are delivered efficiently and in line with University requirements.
 

Working closely with Faculty professional staff, the role coordinates HDR candidature milestones, examinations, scholarships, and research-related activities. You will act as a central point of contact for HDR matters, ensuring clear communication, accurate records, and timely advice to stakeholders.

The position also contributes to research operations, including grant support, events coordination, compliance, and reporting. This is a collaborative role requiring strong organisational skills, policy knowledge, and the ability to manage competing priorities across the research lifecycle.

• HDR candidature processes are managed accurately and within required timeframes.
• Academics and HDR students receive timely, clear, and professional administrative support.
• Research events and activities are well-coordinated and delivered smoothly.
• Research records, reports, and data are maintained with high accuracy and compliance.
• Policies and procedures are applied consistently across Faculty research activities.

• Experience providing high-level administrative support in a research or tertiary environment.
• Strong capability in using complex systems and databases with discretion and accuracy.
• Well-developed communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Proven ability to manage high-volume workloads and competing priorities.
• Sound knowledge of policy interpretation and compliance in a regulated environment.
