Research Project Coordinator - Justice in Health

• 0.8 FTE Part-time, 4-year Fixed-Term position at HEW Level 7.
• Campbelltown campus with flexible working arrangements.
• Salary: $108,659 – $117,202 p.a., plus 17% Super and Leave Loading (Pro-rata).

Coordinate research that strengthens primary care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in prison and after release.

The Opportunity
In this role, you will coordinate the Justice in Healthcare Project across university, correctional health and Aboriginal community settings. The project is investigating a whole-person, multidisciplinary primary care model for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in prison.

You will manage project activities across the research lifecycle, including governance, stakeholder and steering committee coordination, co-design, participant recruitment, surveys, clinical audits, data collection, analysis and research data management.

You will work with project investigators, health services, community-controlled organisations, research partners and participants. You will also maintain project and financial records, support funding documentation, and supervise and support research staff engaged in the project.

What Success Looks Like:

• Coordinate project delivery across university, prison and Aboriginal community settings.
• Establish effective research governance and maintain ethical, privacy and data-management standards.
• Build productive relationships with investigators, participants, health services and community partners.
• Deliver accurate research documentation, databases, reports and funding materials.
• Support research staff and project partners to achieve agreed milestones.

About You

• A degree in health, public health, research or a related discipline, with extensive relevant experience in research project coordination and management.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating complex research projects across multiple settings and partners.
• Experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, research or community engagement, with an understanding of culturally appropriate approaches.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills, including experience preparing research documentation, reports and stakeholder communications.
• Strong organisational, analytical and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and sensitive information.
