  • Salary: $118,000 - $147,000 + 12% super

Lead integrated marketing and communications that amplify student voice and connect students to campus life.

The Opportunity
You will lead the strategic direction and delivery of marketing and communications for Western Sydney University Student Union, ensuring students are informed, engaged and represented across all channels.

You will develop and implement integrated marketing and communications strategies that strengthen organisational profile, support participation, and reflect a student-centred approach. This includes oversight of digital platforms, social media, website performance and analytics, ensuring accessibility, relevance and consistency of brand and messaging.

You will lead and develop a small specialist team, support autonomous student media and publications, and work closely with student leaders, university stakeholders and external partners to maximise reach and impact while managing governance, compliance and reputational risk.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Integrated marketing and communications strategies are delivered effectively across all channels.
  • Digital platforms and websites are accessible, current and engaging for students.
  • Social media channels build awareness, participation and community.
  • Student media is supported with appropriate governance and editorial independence.
  • Strong partnerships are maintained with students, staff and external stakeholders.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or a related discipline, with postgraduate study desirable.
  • Substantial experience developing and delivering marketing and communications strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong practical experience across digital platforms, content, social media and analytics.
  • Understanding of student-led or independent media and student-centred organisations.
