Maintain and integrate digital platforms that support student engagement, payments and data insights across WSUSU.

The Opportunity
You will ensure the reliable operation, integration and support of WSUSU’s digital systems, platforms and data infrastructure. This includes student engagement platforms, websites, payment systems and reporting tools that enable effective service delivery and informed decision-making across the organisation.

You will provide technical and user support for the WesternLife platform, oversee website performance and accessibility, and manage system integrations and payment gateways. Working with APIs and data pipelines, you will centralise data into a data lake environment and transform this into dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI.

You will also maintain information security controls, manage user access, document systems and processes, and work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors. The role balances hands-on technical work with support, collaboration and continuous improvement across multiple platforms and campuses.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Digital platforms operate reliably, securely and with minimal disruption.
  • Users are supported effectively, with issues resolved or escalated promptly.
  • Data pipelines and integrations deliver accurate, timely data to reporting tools.
  • Dashboards and reports provide clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Systems, processes and access controls are well documented and maintained.

Please refer to the Position Description for full details.

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in IT, computer science, data science or equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing cloud-based platforms and content management systems.
  • Demonstrated capability with API integrations and data pipeline development.
  • Strong skills in data visualisation using Tableau and Power BI.
  • Proven ability to provide user-focused technical support and work with vendors.
