The Opportunity
You will deliver tailored, proactive and responsive support for students with disability, helping improve their access, participation, retention and success across the University. Working within Student Wellbeing Services, you will provide specialist advice, information, support and advocacy in relation to complex student matters. You will work closely with students and staff to develop, monitor and refine academic reasonable adjustment plans and placement reasonable adjustment plans that are practical, timely and aligned to individual needs.
You will also advise staff and stakeholders on inclusive design and the accessibility of facilities, services and learning environments. Using student feedback, review systems and service data, you will help identify trends, gaps and opportunities for improvement. This includes contributing to service performance metrics, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all practice aligns with University policy, legislative requirements and relevant funding obligations.
A key part of the role is building strong working relationships across the University and with external partners to strengthen referral pathways and integrated support. You will contribute strategic insights that inform systemic improvement and service innovation. You will also co-develop and deliver educational programs that build understanding of accessibility and inclusion across the University community, while using Microsoft 365 and CRM platforms to support efficient, high-quality service delivery.
What Success Looks Like:
- Deliver expert advice, advocacy and responsive support that improves student access, participation, retention and success.
- Develop and maintain effective academic reasonable adjustment plans and placement reasonable adjustment plans in collaboration with students and staff.
- Strengthen inclusive practice by advising on the accessibility of facilities, services and learning environments.
- Use service data, student feedback and performance metrics to identify gaps and implement targeted improvements.
- Build effective internal and external partnerships that improve referral pathways, education and service outcomes.
