  • Full-time, 9-month Fixed-Term position at HEW Level 6.
  • Parramatta South campus with flexible working arrangements.
  • Salary: $97,693 – $104,713 plus 17% Super & Leave Loading.

Coordinate projects, events and communications that support the Whitlam Institute’s programs and stakeholder engagement.

The Opportunity
In this role, you will provide operational and project support across the Whitlam Institute, working flexibly across areas of greatest need. This role will support activity across events, engagement, marketing, research initiatives, exhibitions, office operations and technology advancement.

You will assist with the planning and delivery of promotional, marketing, events and communication activities, including content production, invitation lists, promotional materials, and communications across online, print, media and face-to-face channels. You will also support the day-to-day operation of communications channels, the website, CRM, publications and related records.

You will play a practical role in delivering major events and exhibitions, coordinating timelines, deliverables, budgets, logistics, set-up, stakeholder activities and on-the-day support. You will also assist with grants, insights reporting, engagement plans and philanthropic activities, and provide front-of-house relief at the Visitors Service Desk as required.


What Success Looks Like:

  • Provide responsive project and operational support across Whitlam Institute activities.
  • Assist with coordination of communications, marketing and engagement activities across multiple channels.
  • Support the delivery of events and exhibitions through effective logistics and stakeholder coordination.
  • Maintain accurate website, CRM, publication and engagement records.
  • Provide professional visitor and public-facing support when required.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training.
  • Strong administrative, organisational and project-coordination skills, including the ability to manage timelines, budgets and competing priorities.
  • Experience supporting communications, marketing and engagement activities across online, print, media and face-to-face channels.
  • Experience supporting events and/or exhibitions, including logistics, set-up, stakeholder engagement and on-the-day delivery.
  • Strong digital capability, including experience with content management systems, CRM systems, social media and email marketing platforms.
