  • Full-time, Fixed term position December 2027 at HEW Level 8.
  • Campbelltown campus with flexible working arrangements.
  • Salary: $118,969 – $132,069 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.

 

Lead complex research project, contract and financial management for translational health research programs
 

The Opportunity
You will support the growth of the Translational Research and Social Innovation (TReSI) group within the School of Nursing and Midwifery, with a focus on the MECSH Program and other national and international research initiatives.

 

You will manage end-to-end research project operations, including project planning, contract negotiation, procurement, budget development and financial management. Working closely with academic leaders and external partners, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in compliance with university policy and legislative requirements.

 

You will provide high-level reporting and analysis, prepare research documentation and maintain strong relationships across the School, Finance, Research Services and external funding bodies. Your work will directly support evidence-based interventions reaching communities through high-quality implementation.

  • Research projects delivered to scope, budget and milestone requirements.
  • Accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple complex projects.
  • Effective contract negotiation and management with national and international partners.
  • Clear, compliant research documentation and governance processes.
  • Trusted advice and operational support to research leaders and stakeholders.

About You

  • Postgraduate qualification or progress towards one in finance, business management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex research project finances and budgets.
  • Proven capability in contract interpretation, compliance and negotiation.
  • Strong experience in research project management, reporting and milestone tracking.
  • High-level written communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
