  • Full-time, Ongoing position, 35-hour week.
  • Parramatta South Campus with flexible working arrangements.
  • Salary: $118,969 – $132,069 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading. 


Manage complex staff and student complaint and misconduct matters with integrity, fairness and sound judgement.

The Opportunity

You will assess, case manage and resolve staff and student complaints and misconduct matters using fair, objective and timely processes that uphold organisational integrity. Working within the Conduct and Investigations Office, you will manage matters from intake through to resolution, ensuring clear, confidential communication with all parties.

You will lead complex and multi-layered investigations. This includes planning investigations, interviewing parties, gathering and analysing evidence, preparing briefs, and providing impartial recommendations. You will interpret and apply legislation and University policy frameworks, including those relating to public interest disclosure and gendered violence, while maintaining ethical integrity throughout the process.

You will build effective relationships across the University and with external agencies. You will manage highly confidential records in case management systems, prepare reports for senior leaders and regulators, and analyse complaint data to identify trends and opportunities for policy or process improvement. You will also contribute to staff capability building through training and advice, supporting a respectful and safe speak-up culture.

  • Complaints and misconduct matters are assessed and resolved using appropriate and fair pathways.
  • Investigations are thorough, well-documented and support sound, defensible outcomes.
  • Stakeholders receive clear, timely and confidential communication throughout the process.
  • Case data is accurately managed and used to identify systemic risks and improvements.
  • Institutional values, safety and ethical standards are upheld in all case activities.

About You

  • Qualification in a relevant discipline and/or extensive experience in investigations or case management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing high-volume, complex cases with competing deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret legislation, policy and regulatory frameworks.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including reporting to senior decision-makers and regulators.
  • Demonstrated discretion, emotional intelligence and commitment to confidentiality and safety.
