  • Salary: $85,778 – $97,006 per annum, plus 17% superannuation and leave loading


Be the frontline coordinator delivering seamless venue and event experiences across Western.

The Opportunity
Western Sydney University is seeking a highly organised and customer‑focused Venues Officer to provide frontline coordination of venue and space hire services across our campus network. This is a full‑time, fixed‑term role until July 2027, supporting venue operations at the Hawkesbury (Richmond) campus.

As the first point of contact for conference, event and venue enquiries, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of University facilities. Working collaboratively with internal and external clients, you will coordinate end‑to‑end booking processes, ensure compliance with University procedures, and deliver a high‑quality service experience.

What Success Looks Like

  • Friendly, timely and professional frontline service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Accurate and efficient coordination of venue and space hire bookings.
  • Well‑maintained records, including booking details, catering requirements and financial information.
  • Timely preparation of hire contracts, invoices and documentation in line with University policies.
  • Effective coordination of catering, maintenance and operational services to meet client expectations.
  • Clear and proactive communication with clients regarding booking changes, approvals and operational requirements.
  • Compliance with Western’s Space Hire Procedures and related policy frameworks.
  • Accurate reporting that supports continuous improvement in service delivery.

About You

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in event management, hospitality, administration, or a related field.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse groups.
  • Experience in event‑related financial administration (e.g., invoicing, accounts, transactional processes).
  • High‑level organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy operational setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
