Support high-quality delivery of a sustained nurse home visiting program across NSW.

The Opportunity
Western Sydney University is seeking an Implementation Nurse Consultant to support the delivery and quality implementation of the Maternal Early Childhood Sustained Home-visiting (MECSH) program across Australia, with a primary focus on New South Wales.

Based at the Liverpool campus within the School of Nursing and Midwifery, this role works closely with the MECSH Implementation Project Lead, researchers, clinicians, clinical leaders and service managers. You will provide clinical and implementation support to MECSH sites, ensuring fidelity to the program model and alignment with evidence-based child and family health practice.

The role involves delivering face-to-face and virtual training, supporting local governance and clinical supervision arrangements, and contributing to a national MECSH community of practice. Regular domestic travel across NSW is a core requirement of this position.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Consistent, high-quality MECSH clinical practice supported across program sites.
  • Effective advice and guidance provided to MECSH services on quality implementation.
  • Training delivered that strengthens practitioner capability and reflective practice.
  • Accurate records maintained to support compliance, audit and implementation consistency.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in nursing with at least three years’ professional experience in child and family health or a related area.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver training and provide reflective practice supervision to advanced practitioners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging health practitioners and service managers.
  • Sound understanding of evidence-based program delivery and quality processes.
  • Capacity to undertake regular domestic travel, primarily across NSW.
