  • Competitive hourly rate, HEW Level 5 : $85,778 – $97,006 per annum (Pro-Rata), + 25% Casual Loading. 


Support students with friendly, practical library and learning hub enquiries.

The Opportunity
A casual opportunity to work as a Learning Hub Librarian is available across multiple Western Sydney University Library locations.

You will play a vital role in providing high-quality enquiry services from Library Learning Hubs across our campus libraries. You will support students with library services, spaces, collections, online chat, phone and online FAQ enquiries.

We are looking for librarians who are interested in diverse and engaging library experiences, including creating a welcoming environment for students.


What Success Looks Like:

  • Deliver helpful, student-centred enquiry services across Learning Hub channels.
  • Respond to student enquiries professionally and accurately.
  • Support students to build digital, information and academic skills.
  • Contribute to library programs, events and service improvements.
  • Help maintain a welcoming and respectful library environment.

About You

  • A degree in Library and Information Science, Education or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience delivering learning support in an academic or library setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with students and colleagues.
  • Confidence using digital tools, library systems and learning platforms.
  • A commitment to inclusive, student-centred service.
