  • Bankstown campus with flexible working arrangements.
  • Salary: $123,327 – $145,625 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.


Teach and research English Literacy Education across primary and secondary teacher education programs.

The Opportunity
You will contribute to teaching, research and scholarly activity in English Literacy Education within the School of Education. You will teach across undergraduate and postgraduate initial teacher education programs, supporting the preparation of pre-service teachers for primary and secondary settings.

You will design, deliver and assess subjects that meet internal quality assurance standards and external accreditation requirements. Teaching will be delivered through blended modes including face-to-face, online and intensive formats, with a focus on high-quality feedback and student engagement.

You will contribute to research and scholarship appropriate to Academic Level B, including supervising higher degree research students and participating in research projects. You will collaborate with colleagues across the School, Faculty and University, and build partnerships with schools and education sector stakeholders.

  • Subjects designed and delivered in line with accreditation and quality standards.
  • Effective supervision and contribution to research and scholarly outputs.
  • Strong collaboration with academic colleagues and education sector partners.
  • Active participation in School and University governance and activities.

About You

  • A PhD or EdD in Education 
  • Demonstrated experience in tertiary teaching, including blended and online delivery.
  • Experience in English Literacy Education curriculum development of primary and/or secondary contexts.
  • Demonstrated engagement in research activity, evidenced through publications and other scholarly contributions appropriate to Education
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
