  • Full-time, 3 year fixed term position at HEW Level 8.
  • Kingswood Campus location with flexible working arrangements.
  • Salary: $118,969-$132069 plus 17% Super.

 

Oversee funding governance and compliance across key student programs, ensuring strong financial stewardship and measurable outcomes.
 

The Opportunity
You will provide institutional oversight of government and University-funded student programs, ensuring governance, compliance and financial accountability across multiple funding streams. This includes managing key regulated funding such as Needs-Based funding, SSAF, ISSP and Outreach programs, ensuring obligations under legislation and funding agreements are met.

 

You will lead the coordination of funding activities, including reporting cycles, financial acquittals and compliance requirements. You will monitor allocations, expenditure and forecasts, ensuring funds are used appropriately and support long-term sustainability. Through your work, you will enable accurate reporting, strong governance and alignment with the University’s strategic priorities.

 

You will also act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and stakeholders, providing expert guidance on funding guidelines, eligibility and compliance requirements. You will support governance committees, improve systems and processes, and strengthen data management practices to ensure effective administration and reporting across programs.

  • Governance and compliance requirements are consistently met across all funding streams.
  • Accurate and timely submission of funding reports and financial acquittals.
  • Effective monitoring of funding allocations, expenditure and forecasts.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and clear advice provided to senior leaders.
  • Continuous improvement of systems, processes and reporting practices.

About You

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business, management, finance or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working in complex environments with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple funding streams and deadlines.
  • High level attention to detail with experience in financial reporting and compliance.
  • Proven ability to interpret legislation, funding guidelines and contractual requirements.
