The Opportunity
Are you an experienced education leader passionate about shaping high‑quality pathway education and driving student success? We are seeking a highly motivated Program Coordinator to provide strategic and operational leadership for the Diploma in Education Studies program.

In this influential role, you will take overarching responsibility for the academic quality, governance, and delivery of the program. You will lead curriculum development, champion innovative learning and teaching practices, and ensure program quality aligns with College and University academic standards. Working in close partnership with the Product Directorate, Associate Directors, and broader University stakeholders, you will play a key role in continuous improvement, academic excellence, and student outcomes.

 

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic academic leadership for the Diploma in Education Studies, ensuring quality, compliance, and alignment with College and University standards.
  • Leading program delivery and curriculum development in partnership with the Product Directorate and senior academic leaders.
  • Driving continuous improvement through innovative learning, teaching, and assessment practices that enhance student engagement, progression, and success.
  • Leading, managing, and developing Subject Coordinators and teaching staff, fostering capability, performance, and a strong teaching culture.
  • Overseeing academic governance and quality assurance across the program, including assessment integrity and academic reporting.
  • Collaborating with Associate Directors to address student retention, progression, and academic success through evidence‑based strategies.
  • Representing the program across academic committees and building strong internal and external relationships with University and industry stakeholders.

Location
This is a full-time ongoing, based at Bankstown City campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required. This position is not available in a fully remote format.

 

Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a collaborative and forward‑thinking leader who brings both educational expertise and strong people leadership.

 

You will bring:

  • A relevant undergraduate qualification (e.g. Education Studies – Primary or Secondary), together with a postgraduate teaching qualification, or equivalent industry experience in an educational context.
  • Experience teaching at Senior High School, TAFE/VET, or first‑year university level, and/or experience coaching or training staff in a professional environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership of educators within a complex education setting.
  • Proven experience in curriculum development, assessment design, and program‑level governance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • A commitment to student‑centred learning, transition pedagogy, and continuous improvement.

 

Working with Children Check
As this position is expected to involve direct or unsupervised contact with children, and in accordance with legislative requirements, it is a mandatory requirement to obtain and maintain a “NSW Working with Children Check Clearance”. 

 

Remuneration Package: Academic Pathway Programs, Program Coordinator $153,497 p.a. (comprising Salary of $135,029 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
