  • Salary: Academic Level B $123,327 – $145,625 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.


Teach across medical education, strengthen curriculum quality, and build a research profile that improves learning outcomes.

The Opportunity
You will contribute to the design, delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement of medical education programs, including the MD; Doctor of Medicine Program. You will coordinate and teach units within the School of Medicine, ensuring learning is contemporary, engaging and informed by research.

You will lead and support curriculum design, blended learning development and assessment processes. You will develop teaching materials and learning activities for medical students, and work closely with colleagues to strengthen the student learning experience, including appropriate support and pastoral care.

You will build an active research and scholarship profile in medical education or a relevant field through publications, grant applications and the supervision of research students. You will participate in School, Faculty and University committees and administrative responsibilities, and engage with internal and external academic and professional networks, including presenting work at seminars and conferences.

  • Units are coordinated and delivered to a high standard with effective assessment and feedback.
  • Curriculum and assessment improvements are implemented and evaluated across the MD program.
  • Blended learning resources and teaching materials improve student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Research outputs are published and supported by competitive grant activity and student supervision.
  • Strong relationships support student success and effective collaboration across internal and external networks.

About You

  • You bring a postgraduate qualification in medical education, health education, or a related field.
  • You have a strong track record of teaching in higher education and you can show how your teaching improves learning outcomes.
  • You are comfortable designing curriculum and assessment, and you enjoy improving learning experiences through thoughtful educational approaches (including blended learning).
  • You can demonstrate research or scholarship capability through publications and contributions to grant activity in medical education or a relevant area.
  • You communicate clearly, build strong working relationships, and take a genuine, practical approach to mentoring and supporting students.
