  • Salary: $118,969 – $132,069 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.

 

Provide strategic leadership for student welfare and scholarships, supporting access, equity and wellbeing across a multicampus university.


The Opportunity
You will provide strategic and operational leadership for the University’s student welfare and scholarships functions, ensuring high quality, compliant and student-centred services across a diverse, multicampus environment. The role has accountability for service delivery, policy and program development, people leadership and financial stewardship.
 

You will translate strategic priorities into effective operational plans, service models and performance measures. This includes leading continuous improvement initiatives, strengthening governance and ensuring consistent application of policies, procedures and guidelines related to student welfare, financial assistance and scholarships.
 

You will lead and support a multidisciplinary team, fostering an inclusive and values-based service culture that promotes staff wellbeing, capability development and strong student outcomes. You will also provide specialist advice, reporting and analysis to senior leaders, informed by service data, evidence and emerging risks and trends.

About You

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of experience and professional development.
  • Demonstrated experience in student welfare, equity, wellbeing or scholarships in a complex service environment.
  • Proven people management capability, including performance development and supporting staff wellbeing.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks, applied in operational contexts.
  • Highly developed communication, stakeholder engagement and analytical skills.
