  • Parramatta South campus with flexible working arrangements.
  • Salary: $97,693 – $104,713 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.


Support researchers and Higher Degree Research (HDR) students to build impact, capability and engagement.

The Opportunity
The Research Engagement Librarian supports the delivery of scalable, high-quality research services that strengthen researcher and HDR student capability across the University. Working collaboratively within the Library and with internal and external partners, the role contributes to programs, tools and resources that enhance research impact, metrics literacy and research skills.

You will design, coordinate and deliver research education programs and outreach initiatives that promote researcher engagement and showcase research activity. This includes contributing to institution-wide initiatives such as the Library Thought Leadership program and supporting the integration of research services into University systems and workflows.

The role also focuses on developing evidence-based instructional content and self-help resources, evaluating emerging technologies, and ensuring services remain current in a rapidly evolving scholarly communication environment. Flexibility to work across multiple campuses is required.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Delivering scalable research education programs for researchers and HDR students.
  • Developing tools and resources that support research impact and metrics literacy.
  • Coordinating outreach events that promote research engagement and visibility.
  • Designing instructional content across multiple formats and platforms.
  • Collaborating effectively to ensure consistent, high-quality research services.

About You

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in library or information services.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, including presentations.
  • Understanding of researcher and HDR student needs.
  • Experience supporting library research services and instructional content.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
