Support hands-on nursing and midwifery education through high-quality technical delivery.

The Opportunity
Western Sydney University’s Teaching and Research Technical Services (TRTS) team is seeking a Technical Support Officer to support the School of Nursing and Midwifery at the Campbelltown Campus. Working as part of the technical team, you will ensure our practical teaching environments operate safely, efficiently, and in line with accreditation requirements.

You will provide technical support across clinical practice, simulation and midwifery laboratories. This includes preparing equipment and materials, troubleshooting and providing technical support to staff and students, and ensuring facilities and equipment are maintained to a high standard.

In this role, you will provide technical and operational support for simulation sessions, including preparing teaching spaces, configuring and maintaining specialised equipment, stock management and procurement. You will be responsible for maintaining facility standards and ensuring readiness for scenario-based learning.

Working closely with academic staff and the Technical Team Leader, you will also support simulation activities, assist with equipment procurement, maintain assets and contribute to continuous improvement across technical operations. This is an opportunity to apply your clinical and technical knowledge in an environment where the focus and rhythm can shift from week to week.
