Student Records Management Analyst

• Full-time, Fixed-Term position until 31 July 2027
• Based at Western’s Penrith (Kingswood) campus, with flexible working arrangements
• Salary: HEW Level 7 $107,053 – $115,469 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading

The Opportunity
The Student Records Management Analyst will lead the assessment, remediation and reconciliation of complex student record issues, applying University policies, program rules and regulatory requirements to maintain accurate and reliable records.

The Student Records Management Analyst will scope and deliver projects in collaboration with Student Records, Student Administration and other University stakeholders. Through detailed analysis of registration, progression, completion, transition, discontinuation and lapsing data, the role will provide insights and recommendations that support institutional planning and decision-making.

The role will investigate systemic data issues, identify and escalate risks, and implement practical controls and process improvements. It will also maintain records and process documentation, strengthen staff capability through training and guidance, and support initiatives that improve administrative services and student outcomes.

What Success Looks Like:
Success in this role will be demonstrated through accurate records management, effective project delivery and evidence-based improvements across the student lifecycle, including:

• Complex student record issues are investigated, remediated and reconciled accurately and in accordance with relevant requirements.
• Student records projects are effectively scoped, coordinated and delivered in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Analysis of complex data produces clear insights and recommendations for strategic and operational decision-making.
• Effective controls and process improvements strengthen the integrity, accuracy and reliability of student records.
• Staff capability is enhanced through practical guidance, training, documentation and knowledge sharing.

About You
The successful candidate will bring strong analytical capability, sound judgement and experience managing records in a complex service environment. Key capabilities and experience will include:

• A relevant tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Experience in student records, enrolments or related administrative services within tertiary education or a similarly complex environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing data integrity and analysing complex data sets from multiple sources to identify trends and inform decisions.
• Proven ability to implement and maintain controls that support accurate, reliable and compliant records.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within deadlines.
