  • Penrith campus with flexible working arrangements.
  • Salary:$118,969 – $132,069 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.


Deliver trusted analytics and insights that shape strategic and operational decisions across the University.

The Opportunity
 

You will independently deliver high-quality, timely and actionable analytics that support strategic and operational decision-making across the University. Working as a subject matter expert in data preparation, visualisation, analysis and storytelling, you will partner closely with faculties, schools, College, third-party providers and divisions to understand needs and translate them into fit-for-purpose insights.

You will design and deliver advanced analytics and visualisations, primarily using Power BI, ensuring outputs are accurate, accessible and aligned to agreed standards. Your work will support executive-level reporting, KPI monitoring and external reporting obligations, while applying rigorous data modelling, validation, governance and quality assurance practices.

You will also play a mentoring role within the analytics team, promoting best practice in analysis, dashboard design and self-service enablement. Through clear documentation and effective communication, you will help ensure insights are trusted, repeatable and widely adopted.

What Success Looks Like:

  • High-quality analytics and dashboards are delivered on time and meet stakeholder needs.
  • Executive and external reports are accurate, consistent and aligned to governance standards.
  • Data models, definitions and methodologies are well documented and reusable.
  • Stakeholders understand and use insights to inform planning and performance decisions.
  • Analysts are supported and mentored to lift capability and quality of outputs.

About You

  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience in data analytics, statistics, business intelligence or a related discipline.
  • 5 to 7 years’ experience in analytics, reporting or BI roles with demonstrated stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI or equivalent platforms, including data modelling and DAX.
  • Experience with data preparation or ETL tools, with a focus on accuracy and validation.
  • Ability to communicate complex analytical findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
